Instruction:Kernel is the software you need to play games.When receiving your r4idsn, you should  download the latest WOOD R4i for r4idsn first of all. Just copy roms to your tf card  and you can enjoy yourself with your ds and r4idsn.Patch is the  software to program your r4idsn's memory  chip with new loader.You only need to patch your r4idsn when powering on your ds and getting  an error message "An error ...".Its because you have updated your DS.Its necessary for you to  choose the correct patch listed below according to the version of your ds and 3ds.

In fact, these cards can support 3DS 3.0 without updating.

these cards not being able to work any longer.Please repairt it with this special patch,

Just download R4idsn V1.4.3 Patch for Non3DS card and update your flashcard.After updating  with success, R4idsn(Non-3DS) version can support 3DS 2.10-4 and NDSi V1.4.3.
